| Pet store said Solid Gold Wee Bits is not good food? WHAT??????!!! I went in pretending to know nothing and looking for a new food. This was at Pet Valu. She pulled me away from Wellness, NV, TOTW, Solid Gold, ... and took me to their in house band that had CORN in it! Uggh! Still looking for a smaller kibble that Mickey will not swallow hole. May pick up some NV Prairie today or Solid Gold Wee Bits. Which do you think is better... Solid Gold Wee Bits or NV Prairie line? I would get Wellness Small Breed but they get terrible eye goobers on it.

| I don't think Solid Gold is a bad food, by any means. I think NV is better, personally. But neither are bad choices. Lots of people have great luck with Prairie and Instinct and I really love both foods.

| Wouldn't trust those people. I basically do all my own research and then just go buy food, I never trust what the sales people tell me. Have you considered FROMM, either the surf and turf or beef frittata? They both spring to mind when people ask for a small kibble, they are very very tiny. I also fed NV for awhile, I liked the food mine just didn't do great on it after awhile, it has pretty small kibble but not small enough to really swallow. Right now I am feeding GO! and the kibbles are about the same as the NV. I think it is the perfect size, mine won't eat anything too huge, but I like for them to have to chew a little. I think Solid Gold is a decent food, I just don't have any experience with it. Good Luck.

| Which Go! are you feeding? We have that brand here. Can't find Fromm anymore.

| We love Nature's Variety. We mostly have the Nature's Variety Prairie chicken and brown rice formula, but sometimes mix in another formula for variety. I have had bad luck with anything made by Diamond. It gives my dogs gas. These include all the regular Diamond brands, plus Canidae, Solid Gold, Wellness, which the dry foods are made by Diamond. I've had very good luck with the Nature's Variety. The kibble is also small and easy for my dogs to eat. Last edited by sganow; 04-14-2011 at 09:45 AM. |

YT 2000 Club Member | weve been using nature's variety for about 2 months now and my dogs seem to really like it. We use the prairie line. The kibble is small and very easy to chew for my dogs.

| I have had excellent results with Solid Gold in several different dogs and breeds. There were also the very first company to put out a bag without all the bad stuff and junky crap in it. |
