| Best food & toothpaste for my babies? I was just curious as to what kind of food do you think is best for my Yorkie babies? Also..what kind of toothpaste. I am currently using Bil-Jac for their food and I am brushing their teeth with Nutri vet toothpaste. Any kind of help is very much appreciated! Thank you!

| Bil-Jac is not a very high quality food. Check out Dog Food Reviews | Dog Food Ratings -- it can steer you in the right direction. If you're shopping at a Petsmart or Petco, a few good brands are Wellness, Natural Balance, Blue Buffalo, By Nature. Other brands I love and recommend are Orijen/Acana, Go!/Now!, Fromm, Nature's Variety. I just use some toothpaste I picked up from Petsmart... I think mine might be NutriVet, too? I also use Petzlife gel/spray to maintain his teeth.

| I don't know a whole lot about toothpastes, but I am a strong supporter of Orijen; it is very healthy for little pups! I like all natural and grain free for my little guy Good Luck! ps- I love your signiture quote

| I really like the C.E.T. by Virbac enzymatic pet toothpaste. We use the Vanilla Mint flavor and just also bought the poultry flavor one. I think the toothpaste works well and the dogs like it. Most vet offices sell it, but you can also find it on amazon.com (also, if you shop at amazon, you can visit the yorkie haven rescue website and click the amazon link to shop and have a portion of the sale go to help the foster pups!)

| Great advice! Thank you for the replies! I am going to switch their food slowly over to Orijen. I am using the poultry flavored toothpaste twice a week, and Gianna seems to like it. I just brought Rocky to his forever home last night so I am going to attempt to brush his teefies today. Thanks everyone!!

The Orijen Regional Red is is like the Blue Buffalo Wilderness. I spoke with a BB rep at the pet fair and he said they are okay for active small dogs only. I was told my baby should be fine with it since he runs with me every other day. However, just to be safe I opted for the Orijen Adult instead. Hope this helps. | |
