| Thin hair on my 4 month old Yorkies chest Hey everyone! I just got a 4 month old little Yorkie boy! I'm worried about the hair on his chest... it looks really thin to me and his coloring looks a little weird too! Has this happened to anyone else and has more hair grown in? I just want to make sure he is health and everything is ok. He is only 1.8 lbs and 4 months old so he is a little guy. Here are a couple of pictures of him! |

| omg he's little!!! Since you just got him...have you taken him to your Vet to get checked? It's always good to take them in and have them seen. I would definitely ask your Vet about his fur..and make sure its not because of poor nutrition and/or he doesn't have allergies or mites..etc.

| Not yet! I just got him! But I'm going to...I just am wondering if he will just grow more hair as he get older?? As long as he is happy and healthy I'm happy! He has a really good diet with vitamins so I don't think it is his nutrition... |

Well that's good... some yorkies just have thinner coats...My Tulip is what is referred to as a red-legged yorkie....and her coat is much more coarse and thin....it could just be hereditary. But def. get him in to see your Vet...that way he can be checked out!

No Longer a Member | Are there bald spots or is it just thin? Rizzo's chest hair is just a tad different than the rest of his body, it's always been more cottony than the rest of him. It's lighter in color and poofs out rather than hanging down. I would get him checked out by your vet, but it could just be in his genes. |

| Its just thin and everywhere else seems to be fine... I think it will probably look different when she gets a little older, but the breeder fed her really well and was giving her vitamins the whole time too. |

| Storm, Has a thin amount of hair on his chest as well, it's white in color. He has visited the Vet on numerous occasions since he is headed overseas with me. The Vet did not see an issue with it. I'll try to post pictures of Storms without clothes because he favors your little one. |
