| Metal in dog food? As my puppy is tiny I only use 1/2 a pack of her food per meal- the other half goes in fridge. I microwave it a bit to bring it to room temp. Today...while watching the micro...I saw flashes off the food. ONLY metal causes this...is there metal in dog food?! I'm calling the company today. I searched online and there are some articles re toxic metals in food...from the grocery store brands to the brands that are advocated by the purists--- also known as the 5 star better brands. The articles say dry food is the worst and you should wash your hands after touching it and not to let your children touch it. I feed my little one the only food she will eat, at this point in time, Ceasar. I already know it's only a 3 star food ( she eats the Gourmet Filets- not the regular which doesn't make even 3 star). I was considering a try at Purina Pro due to it's actual meat content (dogfoodadvisor site) and will do so but it doesn't appear to matter much which food you use as far as the metal is concerned! |

| What kind of package does the food come in? If there is any foil in the packaging, maybe a tiny piece fell off into the food and made the sparks. |

| I have had this happen even with the RX Canned Dog Food and the Regular canned food. I do believe this caused by the chelted minerals in the food.
