| Lucy is FAT! So . . my sweet little Lucy . . my picky eater with her little liver issues. Guess I've gotten really good at getting her to eat! Sprinkled Parm, carrots, pumpkin; scrambled egg; Wellness canned . . . The vet weighed her at 5.8 lbs and she was 4 lbs when we moved here! He thinks 5 lbs would be a good weight for her. Guess we have to start walking more and eating healthier!

| I know the feeling. My Chi used to be skin and bones at 4.5 pounds. I wanted her to be 5 - 5.5 pounds. I weighed her and she went up to 7 pounds! We just increased her exercise and she lost the weight rather quickly. She's now 5.25 pounds. |

| I so happy she is doing well!! I am going through the same questions with Remy. I was sooooo happy when she gained up to 4 lbs. Now we are at 4.5 and not too sure if it is going to stay there. I just received info from 107barney and maximo that I think will help

| http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...-fat-pets.html here is the link Sure will. I think they, like you, know a lot more than I do at this point. Cathy has given me information and help before. I needed a method that would work for me to know how much to feed, and to judge if they are at the correct weight. I remember when my biggest worry was keeping the dog food bowl full and making sure my dh did not give them chicken bones.. AWWW the simple days .

| you mentioned "when we moved here she was 4lbs" HOw long ago was that? Mickey's weight fluxuated a lot when he moved from Canada to Korea. Wonder if thats what happened to your Lucy. I'd cut down on the human food as meals and give those as small snacks and lots of long walks should help!

| We've been here since mid-August. I didn't give her any 'little bites' of my dinner tonight either. I've been so bad! Giving her little bites of bread, plain pasta, whatever. I guess when you are only 4-5 lbs - it doesn't take much! We went for a long walk today at the park so we'll see in two weeks when she goes back.
