| dont look if you dont like looking at poop.... so i was researching EPI and found some stuff at this link: Overview - EPI * Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency snickers poop definately doesnt look anything like this.. its not this watery or yellow.. i am hoping he doesnt have epi.. i was looking at the symptoms..they do seem kind of like snickers.. no matter how much i feed him..he always seems like he is SUPER HUNGRY still. (not sure if its just cause he's a dog) he seems to be the same weight since forever. he hasnt gained or lost any.. his stools do sometimes look greasy.. and he has been having some pretty nasty gas...

| EPI is a possibility, but what you are describing doesn't really sound like it. EPI dogs are malnurished, so weight loss is a major symptom. You can do a TLI to rule it out. Might want to change diet first before spending a ton of money on that. If your pup did well on the lamb, then that could be something to change back to. But if the raw diet history has included GI upset, then it would be best to change to another form of food and see what happens. But absolulely if this continues blood testing is important...

Yesterday when we got home I gave T a dose of Albon. About an hour later, I gave her the prescribed amount of the I/D gastrointestinal health food the vet recommended. About 20 minutes later she had a nearly normal poop. A little soft, but the right color and shape. For the first night in a week, she did not get up several times with diarrhea. Considering that the night before we got up six times to use the potty pad, this seems like a miracle. She had a little more I/D for breakfast and just now she had a small but very normal looking poop! | |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Tallulah's test came back negative, but we are going to finish the Albon treatment anyway. She is ( so far) crazy about the I/D food and has had all normal poops since starting it. And she didn't have to get up even once last night! |
