thanks for your input, ill have to keep a eye on her, she eats 1 cup a day, but then she weighs 11 pounds---not fat at all, very muscular though. so hopefully we wont put on any extra pounds.

The best reviewers evaluate dog foods based on ingredients. DogFoodAnalysis.com covers the most products, and offers detailed reviews on some of them. PetFoodRatings.com does the same thing, but covers fewer foods.

The major problem with DogFoodAnalysis, is only one person reviews each food, and none of the people who review food have had any training in nutrition. It has a disclaimer on its site. The site originally was written in conjunction with a dog forum on Boxers, and I believe you should take their opinions with a huge grain of salt. If a few pieces of fruit are thrown in they will give a food a higher rating.

I really like this site: The Dog Food Project - Common Fallacies of Dog Food Reviews and I believe there is much more information on how you can properly evaluate your dog's food. The person writing the site has excellent credentials as well.
