| I am confused?!?! Ok, I know you guys get tired of all of the food questions but here it goes. Chloe is a little over 4 months old and she is the pickiest eater I have ever seen. She quit eating dry food all together I tried about 5-6 different kinds. I havent tried Chicken Soup but I plan too. So I had to change her to canned food and this is my problem. She will eat one can of food and then the next time I will try to give her the same kind of food but she wont eat it again. She is the same way with her treats she has to have a different kind everytime she potties. I have wasted so much food and money and I just need to know what I should do. Also I cooked her eggs and she ate them the first time but not the next time that I fixed them for her. Its like she will only eat the same kind of food once. The people at the store probably think that I have about 100 dogs and i have to feed them all different kinds of food! |

| forgot to say also that when she does eat it is always a game. Sometimes she will eat out of her bowl, sometimes she refuses to eat unless it is on the floor, sometimes the only way she will eat is out of my hand, and sometimes she wants it off of a plate. So everyday it is a mess trying to figure out what food to feed her and what she wants to eat it from. Dont get me wrong I am not mad at her I just need to know what I should do so that she will eat the same food everyday out of the same dish. |

| Try to give her some Lil Caesars. My dogs plus others on here that are picky eat that well. They have reallly good flavors like filet mignon and porterhouse. You can find it at grocery stores, Super kmarts walmarts and meijers. Chicken Soup is also a very popular hard food that alot of dogs on here like. Its just harder to find.

| chachi I tried that food too she ate it a couple of times in fact the first time I tried it she finished the whole dish and came walking over with the little dish in her mouth as if she was saying I want more but then for the next feeding I put that food out again and she wont touch it. In fact I tried it this morning and she just looked at me like are you kidding? |

| Well for one that picky I quess i would cook them chicken and rice and the eggs. My dogs are picky eaters but not that picky. I think I would go crazy if had that picky of one. Its scary with these little yorkies cause they can get hypoglycemia if they miss a meal.

| I'll be honest.....I don't think she is a picky eater......I think she has you in "training". A healthy dog will not starve ittself to death. Pick one or two (I mix Puppy Pro Plan and Chicken Soup for the Puppy Lovers Soul) hard foods and put that down for her. If she doesn't eat it in the first 15 minutes, take it away and put it back down in a few hours. I would repeat this until she eats. They can be very stubborn when they are trying to train you and see how far they can push you (sometimes up to 3 days). Give her Nutrical in the meantime, but show her who is boss. This must be wreaking havoc on her little stomach. |

| I don't know... maybe Tatum just wasn't as picky as some others BUT I tend to think that sometimes we just baby these pups a little too much. When we first switched Tatum's food from the one the breeder had her on, she didn't eat well for at least a week if not more (we just made sure to have the Nutrical on hand just in case). We had to play the game of rolling the food across the floor so she'd think it was play time. And then I spent a few days on the floor hand feeding it to her but then she finally figured out that if she was hungry, she just didn't have any other choice but to eat what I put out for her. Not trying to be harsh or belittle what you've been doing but if you keep switching foods and catering to her, Chloe is going to take advantage of it. They're pretty smart and pick up on these things quickly. Just my two cents... for what it's worth.

| I wonder if you pick up the food you offered her and then offer her something else? If that is what you are doing, then you are creating the picky eater. Put the food down and leave it. Don't keep changing and changing and changing their food. They will soon learn that if they don't eat it then they might get something even better. They are ornery that way.

| Someone gave me a Yorkee (Daisy)a few years back her teeth was so dirty when I got her and I couldn't get her to eat well this person had her on pedagree can food and I took her to the vet and he said this was why her teeth was so nasty was the can food, He told me a dog needs dry food to help clean their teeth. I finally just started adding the dry to the moist a little at a time and she was on all dry before I knew it. Well I ended up giving her to my sister for her Benji (Yorkee too!) has sezures (He's 12 yrs. old now) and if something ever happens to him I know my sister would want to dye too so with her being 4 (Daisy) she still has a lot of years to go. Well when we got our 2 babies last year I put them on dry food @ about 8 weeks started soaking it in water 1st them slowely stop making it so moist and they took to it, and they have beautiful white teeth, plus I brush them too. I had to have the vet cean the other dogs and they still didn't come clean. Just thought you might want to know this. Hugs, Lee |

| Gucci is a picky eater also. I change her food a couple of times. Now she is being on Canidae dry food for the last couple of months. When she doesnt seem to want to eat her food, I warm it up and add a sprinkle of parmessan cheese and that seems to help. I do give her a bit of Innova wet food mix with her dry for breakfast. Sometimes I give her a little bit of the Natural Balance rolls. I tried the Lil ceasars and she wont eat it anymore. I try not to change her food too often. |
