| Ian also loves raw carrots. I only buy the regular organic ones, not the baby, and give him about an inch and a half of one. He also eats fresh raw green beans as a snack.

| I don't want to open up a can of worms here but every time I read posts about people feeding "baby" carrots I have to bring this up. First of all there was a post here quite a while ago about the name "baby" carrots, there is no such thing as "baby" carrots. The small carrots that you buy in the store are actually cut and shaved down from normal size carrots. The bad part of this is that they are then soaked in Chlorine and I don't know for what purpose. I have read former posts here that peoples' vets have told them to stay away from feeding these "baby"carrots because of the chlorine factor. Try to google "baby carrots" and see what it says. Like I said it has been tossed around here before but I'd like to hear others thought after hearing this. |

| Hmmm...this is such a good idea! No more sitting their cutting up carrots and they'll be pretty, too!

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I wanted to thank you for the crinkle cut carrot idea ! I sometimes give baby carrots, but I bought the crinkles today and love them! They have a bit of softness to them, and seem like much less of a choking concern. Thanks!!!

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | Mine LOVE raw carrots. It seems to be inborn with yorkies to love them. They were the treat given when Yorkies were ratters and they did a good job.

| Heidi LOVES fresh broccoli. She gets so excited she takes off running with it to find a good place to gobble it up. You'd think I had set a juicy steak in front of her. |

| Hot Rod can't get enough carrots. He likes them both ways but prefers cooked. Maggie will chew the raw carrot and leave it on the floor/carpet. lol She will eat the cook depending on how hungry she is. She's not overly crazy about veggies but will eat some.

| Tootsy adores raw carrots. I cut up a normal organic carrot into thick julienne strips and she sits crunches them up. She also loves butternut squash raw! I think she would bite you if you tried to take her butternut piece away from her! LOL! I have tried beans, but she does not like them raw at all. I must try broccilli and see if she enjoys this raw. She prefers the raw veg to bought treats, which I am happy about. |

| My vet says it was OK to give Beamer the baby carrots. But I buy the "baby carrots' not the "baby cut carrots" Here is an article from Snopes snopes.com: Baby Carrots

| Just read that same snopes article. I've been eating those "baby" carrots for years ... oops. I give Kasha the diced and frozen peas & carrots mix... she loves it! She also likes English Peas (super big peas) and will eat cucumbers and green peppers. My Scotties always ate broccoli too.
