My Yorkie started having siezures at around 1 year old. He gets stiff and his back legs will paddle if I put him down. I hold him for about 2 to 5 minutes and they are over. My friend told me he has epilepsy. Now I am reading about Liver Shunts- very scary- how do I know the difference?

Did you take him to your vet when he had the first seizure? What did your vet think? That is the only way you will be able to find out.

thanks, the appointment is Monday, just seems forever away, so looking for someone who has been through it.
