| ![]() There is no such thing as a teacup yorkie. Also, 6 weeks is way too young to be away from his mother.

| ![]() This is a duplicate thread: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...dvice-pls.html In the other thread, the OP has corrected the age. The pup is 8 weeks old.

| ![]() Sorry to say but when you start getting advice don't let it upset you too much cause really 8 weeks is still too young to be taken away from his mom. Breeders will tell you 12 weeks is the correct age. I agree with that age as my little Belle was 12 weeks when I got her and that was about perfect, still she was only 2 pounds. But...that said, your baby should be able to sleep longer than that a one time. If they are fed and pottied before bed you should be able to go about 2 hours and lenghten that as the puppy ages. I would let Belle fuss a little to see if she would go back to sleep but then I would get up and put her on the pee pad and then back to her crate. Usually the 2nd time I would give her a little bit to eat as they can get hypoglycemic. Puppies can easily train us to pick them up as soon as they fuss so be careful, it's easier to stop sooner than later. Another thing I did with Belle and her sister before that was cover the crate they slept in with a blanket. It works kind of like a bird thing. Even now at 2 years I cover Belle's crate at night and she doesn't fuss or make any noise until morning. If you have a warmer of some kind to put with the puppy that helps too. I made a corn pack heater for Belle out of old jeans and whole dried corn that goes in the micro wave and I put it under her blankets and it stays warm for several hours. Good luck with your tiny one. I would give you more hints or help but there are others better qualified and I want you to get the best advice. If you want, you can pm me and I will try to help with questions. Hope to see pics of your little one soon. Welcome to YT |
