| I feed grain free food with a maximum 3% fiber. Should I ad more to their food? She's doing well on grain free food...but if that may be making the issue worse I will try something else. |

| Definately away! I had Kate's rear facing right at me so I could see.....mistake! You can see fine from an angle. BTW -- got it on me but not in the face thankfully!

| Sometimes glands can be difficult to express. They are basically teardrop shaped, and they can roll around under the skin. If the opening (duct) is blocked by your finger or the dog's anatomy, the gland won't be able to empty. In that case, remove your fingers and replace them, hoping that the glands have shifted to a better position when you try again. This same problem can happen whether they are being expressed internally or externally.

I have heard of the double genders -- hermaphordites. It happens occasionally in humans too and is usually taken care of surgically. Not one of those surgeries often discussed though.

| That could very well be the problem, as all dogs are different. About 1/2-1 teaspoon of pumpkin or 5-6 fresh or frozen or canned stringbeans can be given daily at each meal. Canned pumpkin can be frozen in icecube trays to make using it easier. I keep frozen stringbeans in a bag in the front of the freezer where I can grab them easily. They like them too so they think it's a great treat.

| I've been reading through this thread and the smile on my face has got bigger and bigger, I can imagine us all looking at our babies butts and examining and smelling the contents we get out, the last post really makes me laugh which way should we face them, imagine especially if theyre full, Not for me people I'm leaving this one for the vet P.S I know it is a serious issue and don't mean to make light of it, but I just can't help seeing the funny side.

| Oh, I forgot that part...I do give them a few green beans in their supper dish every night. I don't give them frozen though...I cook enough for a few days and they get a few, either warmed up or cold, mixed in with their supper. |

| O.k...this is my thread so I can take it off topic if I want...can't I? Anyway...this is starting to remind me of another thread a while back where someone on here just about got her eye shot out. Anyone remember that one?? |
