| Black Spots on tummy??? When I was giving Poppy a belly rub, I noticed on her lower abdomen she has a brownish/black spot. I don't think it's painful, although she won't let me touch it because of the area it's in. I tried to see if it is raised and it doesn't appear to be. I googled this and found information on how certain breeds of dogs are genetically prone to getting spots like this, but clearly I wanted to ask you Yorkie experts if this is something to worry about or get checked out. Thanks!!!

I'm bumping this thread, because just the other day, I noticed two brownish black spots, on my little boy, Buzz, in the very same place you mentioned...I'm sure they weren't there, very long ago, or I would have noticed?...It's probably nothing, but I'm wondering about them too? | |

Poppy's Mamma ♥ Donating Member | Bumping this thread again for you because although my Poppy dosn't have these spots, my 13 year old Schnauzer cross does. I thought they were just a result of old age but apparently not, would like to know more.

| We took ours to the vet--it was an infection and one round of antibiotics later--no spots! |
