I don't think its safe to breed a dog under 5lbs. And I'm sure all the breeders on here will agree, that dog is too tiny! I don't know the chances of her getting cancer from not getting spayed, but I would get her spayed so she doesn't "accidentally" get pregnant. Plus she will have a higher chance of not getting that type of cancer.

I agreed, I wouldn't breed a pup under 5 lbs, the risks are too high. Regarding getting uterine cancer I dont know the probabilities, but is safer and healthier to ger her spayed. If you are concern cause she is so tiny, discusse it with your vet. Gucci was spayed last month and she weighs 4lbs 6oz, and she did ok.

Spaying Kimono has a appt. 4 Monday morning so we are not going to try to mate her. I pray that the vet will do a good job. She has been going to him since she was born. Thanks 4 the advice.
