| Is this normal? Hi, I received my yorkie puppy on monday, shes 9 weeks and i've never had a dog so not sure if this is a stupid question or not but, on her chest area it feels very fatty(squishy?), is it supposed to feel solid? or is that just a normal trait? |

| It's usually a good idea to take your pet to a vet within the first 72 hrs...If you got her from a breeder, they should guarantee a healthy pup for, at least, that long...Really good breeders give you a longer health certificate...The squishy may just be puppy fat, but it's always best to get a new pup checked out...Welcome to YT, and hope to see pictures, soon... |

| It's probably nothing more than baby fat, but like Sweet Apple said, as soon as you get her, have the Vet. check things out. Congratulations on your new little baby daughter. Your going to be so hooked on this breed.

| thanks for the quick replies, i took her to the vet on tuesday and he examined her and checked for congenital defects etc, and said she was completely healthy, although i didnt ask about the pad of fat. Very relieved to know it's normal , and i'm loving her so much already |
