my dogs started eating fruits and veggies very young as puppies. I would start with one item at a time and see what Cody likes.

| My HoHo, 2 yr old male loves bananas, mangos, cantalope & hide veggies (brocolli, sweet potatoes, squash, parsley, rice) inside meatballs; he can't resist after I sautee w/ extra virgin olive oil for a few minutes! I also visit butcher and get shank bones w/ meat, grill the bones w/ meat, smother w/ EVOO; remove most of the meat; cut into tiny pieces and let him chisel the remaining meat off the bone to relieve stress, good for gums & teeth tartar! |

| My girls love bananas, oranges, nectarines, plums, apples, and carrots. I can't sit down to eat any of these without sharing little bites with them. I hope all these are good for them (in small portions) as it seems to me that it would be healthy. |

| It seems that many do feed fruits and vegetables, however, I choose not to feed any carbs at all (as the canine carbohydrate requirement is zero) and avoid all sugars, which, I feel, can promote tooth decay. To each, their own and, as always, I respect everyone's choices.
