| Teeth problems My little sadie had to have 14 extractions at her last cleaning. When i got her at the age of 3 her mouth was in horrible shape and most of her teeth were loose. SHe only has her bottom 2 canines left. Has anyone else had this problem with a 5 year old? |

| Wow. I think that's extreme, but that's just me. My Coco is 5 years old and has not had a teeth cleaning yet. She only eats dry kibble and she gets a greenie every day. I don't brush her teeth and the only time she gets her teeth brushed is when she goes to the groomers, about every 6 weeks. So far her teeth look good, the vet so far has said she doesn't need a teeth cleaning, but she's due for a checkup soon and maybe this time she may need to have her teeth cleaned. We'll see.......... What has she been eating?

| Ellie was around that age when she had major oral surgery, but she was left with more than two teeth! I guess it's canned food from now on!

| I did not get her until she was 3 1/2 years old. Her original owners did not take very good care of her. They fed her a generic large breed minnow called Doge Gone Deli. I believe it's a kroger brand. Since I have had her I have used water additives and sprays everyday to clean her teeth. She's only albs so using a toothbrush is a challenge. Thankfully she has all her molars in the back. |
