Does anyone out there try Solid Gold Any of you Yorkie parents try 'Solid Gold just A Wee Bit' dry food? I am considering buying it but I don't think they have the money back guarantee. My baby, well, he is 2 now, is a picky eater and I think I need to give him the dry kibble. I never seen any pet so picky with his food like this little guy. Also, how do you all feel about the Freshpet select foods?

I used it and was really happy with it, Coco wasn't thrilled with it unless I mixed wet food and still would leave some in her bowl. I just recently went to Wellness as it is something I can buy local which is so much easier for me. I still mix wet food and a little cooked beef liver and she is eating the whole bowl now.

Thanks! Petco was out and they told me I can try it and if I keep the receipt they will take it back if my baby won't eat it. So I will try it.

We have 2 very picky eaters, and thru all the try-outs of foods, we settled on Wellness CORE. Our youngest yorkie's birthday is today, she turned 11 yrs old, and her older sister, 2 yrs apart litters, same parents, will be 13 yrs old in Dec. They are doing pretty well for their ages. Youngest has one eye due to glaucoma in the other, still acts like a pup. The older is blind now from Progressive Retina Athropy but they still lead a happy life.

Solid Gold was the first premium dog food that I switched Sasha to when I first learned about the holistic food choices. The breeder I got her from was also using a combination of Pro Plan & Solid Gold so she was already familiar with it. She did very well on it but after a few bags, she just wasn't as interested in it, but that's also when she started to become very picky.

I feed Primal raw, twice a day, but my pups stay very lean on it, even if I give more than the recommended amounts...Since I want a little extra weight on them, for the cooler weather, I give them one small meal of Solid Gold Wee Bits, and they love it! I don't think they would be so excited if they didn't get their raw (they're nuts over their raw), but the 1/8 cup, they each get is like a treat to them...I think Acana is, probably, a better food, but they seem to struggle w/the bigger kibble...One of our YT'ers, actually breaks up the Acana w/a nutcracker, but I'm way too busy to do that for three of them...She has just one...

| My breeder friend has switched all of her dogs to Solid Gold Wee Bits and I am thinking of switching to it too. It is an All Life Stage Food so you can feed the same from puppy, adult to senior. I like that! Plus I cqn now get this locally -- like others, that is important to me. I am tired of ordering online, paying the shipping, and then sometimes having trouble getting it intime.

I fed Solid Gold to my 5-year-old since he was a puppy and I don't think I'm changing anytime soon. He has grown to be such a healthy little boy. I don't think it is as fattenting as Acana and Orijen, and although my yorkie isn't "excited" about his food, he eats when he's hungry and he has been heatlhy since. I'm feeding my puppies Solid Gold for puppies but I do have to break down the kibbles for them to eat. Is it really okay to feed just a wee bit to puppies? It says "for adult dogs" on the print.

Well, we have been trying the Solid Gold and I have to say my boy eats it when he is hungry, but he prefers the Pet Fresh Select. And as long as he eats everyday, I'm happy. I mix it up a little and he has gained some weight, and has more energy, regular stools. I think this diet seems to be it. Thanks to all for your input. I didn't know these Yorkies are so particular with their food. But they make up with their loving though.
