Senior Yorkie Talker | Pet Insurance in Canada anyone? Need Advice Hey Everyone, Was curious if anyone knew anything about the pet insurance in Canada. Is it worth it to have. Around how much is it? What would it cover? Is it monthly? yearly etc? Does anyone else have pet insurance in general? Thinking about getting some insurance for Lexi but i'm not sure where to start. IM A PET INSURANCE NEWBIE!

looks like $18-$100/month depending on what you want. I'd go with basic. I just really want to know if it would cover vet visits incase she's sick because apparently visiting the vet they charge you per visit or check up. I'm looking into it because I think my baby might have a cold or allergies...she's sneezing frequently and I really want to take her to the vet sometime tomorrow.

| My personal opinion on Insurance after reading the problems here and the trouble that friends of mine went through is that the best guarantee you can give is to just have a credit card or special savings acc. to deposit into monthly(as you would if you made payments to ins.)That way you have backup no matter what the health issue! Seems to me that Pet Insurance only cover things that very rarely happen, and when/if it do occur, they have a term for it so to make it not covered by them! The best bet is to have your own insurance plan by saving a little every month....it doesn't take long to add up...I went with a loadable Mastercard and I keep adding to it....hopefully I will never need it though .... Good Luck!
