Chloes Weight??? How small is too small? I really wanted her to reach 4 pounds, the past few vet visits she has been just at 3 pounds or an ounce or two over. She will be 2 next month... should I be concerned? She sleeps all the time, she always has... I know I am probably just being paranoid but I'm always so worried about her. To me she's so fragile but she thinks she is so tough... she always antagonizes my bigger baby (He's 22 lbs), she bites his ears and then runs off trying to get him to play with her, then he pins her against the side of the couch and I hate it!! I just want to know she's normal and she will be okay. Any input would be appreciated.

She may just be genetically programed to be small. Is her bloodwork normal? Has she had a bile acids test? All Yorkies should have routinely have one once they reach six months old. It's especially important in a tiny one just to make sure liver issues aren't responsible for her small stature. If all her bloodwork and BAT test are normal, she's probably just meant to be a tiny girl.

Chloe weighs and is apprx the same age as Ally. She will turn 2 years New Year's Eve and weighs 3 lbs 2 oz. She doesn't sleep alot though, but is fragile and timid. Ally's parents were bigger, so we thought she would be around 5 lbs. She has had so many tests (because we adopted Tia earlier this year and she came with everything nameable) and she is fine. Maybe Chloe was meant to be small also. Just watch her like I do and make sure your little baby is safe! I honestly never really thought of Ally as small until recently. She's my empty-nest baby that can do no wrong!
