Maggie won't be 9 months old until the end of this month. She weighs 4.14. I think she is a little butter ball. She is little, but plump. I would say she could sleep in a shoe box if my lap wasn't always around. I would say your baby is just fine.

| My Chico is just like your furbaby he is same age and weight and he is long to me! About 14 or inches and when I look at him I at times think he's thin but my vet said he is pretty much grown in size and in no time will fill out. Don't be worried!

2- what do you feed her if she is over 6 mos. she can be tested for liver shunt and it would be good to rule that out.

| Hi, Sorry I'm just getting back to you. I didn't get an email letting me know someone responded. Anyway, Abbie is a year old this month. I've been feeding her Nutro Ultra Puppy since I got her when she was 5 months old. I took her to a vet the other day (we're vacationing in AZ so it wasn't HER vet) for an unrelated problem and she thought she was too thin. I told her she was a very light eater except when it came to her cousins wet food and that she gobbles right up. So this vet told me that even though she doesn't like wet food, that it was more important to get weight on her than worry about her teeth right now and to go ahead and feed her that. So I bought some Iams because that the one she's tried and enjoyed. It's been a few days now and now she's kinda turning up her nose at that as well. She'll eat it off our fingers but not so much on her own. I'm actually beginning to worry a bit about liver shunt myself. I don't know much about it but she does stagger sometimes but only outside and I think it's just the grass and she's so little. Sorry for the long post. I wish I had a way to post photos but can't until I get back home. There is a photo of her in the gallery if anyone cares to look. Any comments will be appreciated. |

| I think Abbie is just lovely . Alfie was like this and then filled out a little once he was about a year old, so dont worry , she just looks petite and very feminine. |

| Well, thank you to you both. I adore her and of course worry because she's so little. She's the first yorkie I ever even held so I just didn't realize she was smaller than most for her age. Then, this morning I read that sad post about little Muffin and how the breeder didn't want to sell her as she was only 3 pounds and was afraid to place her and I thought, Oh my! I'm careful with her but like some others, she's a jumper and is on and off the sofa 50 times a day. I do hope she gains some weight in the next few months. |
