Pookiebear, wanted to thank you for sugesting Freshpet. I always stopped by and saw this food but never tried it. I have been making Sonny's food, homecooking, but I feel he might not be getting all the nutrients and vitamins he needs. I checked the Freshpet and they have all the vitamins and nutrients he needs. So far he likes it, but as finicky as he is, I am holding my breath. Thanks again.

As a seasoned Mom, and as a seasoned Yorkie-ite, I think we have picky eaters, two and four footed types, 'cause we teach 'em to be! Anybody ever have a mother who put the plate in front of you with the rule either you ate it or went hungry.........till the next meal? She knew what she cooked was good for you so......your choice! Didn't take too many missed meals till you knew she meant business. After you were "trained", and then didn't eat, she knew you weren't feeling well.....was, and is, always a first sign something's off a little! If there's one thing I've learned on YT, it is that there is no "best" food, and you feed what works for yours! Study, make an educated choice and go with it! Good Luck.........we've all been there!

I feel your pain...mine is also the pickiest eater...I now use the Solid Gold tripe with her kibbles and that seems to be working but now she is starting to turn her nose at that too...makes you want to bang your head against the wall...lol

Couple others beside freshpet are Weruva and Fromm four star. Our Bischon/Yorkie is verry picky. She has eaten Freshpet but eventually got tired of it. I was also concerned about the sodium in it (though the amount is not listed on the label). She loves Weruva though I am concerned it is made in Thailand so I don't give it to her all the time. But it looks like shredded white meat chicken. I try to stick to Fromm Shredded pork, chicken, beef which she likes but again she gets tired of it. sometimes she will skip a meal but I guess she gets so hungry then she will eat it at her next meal.
