| dog wont stop shaking.. Hey guys, first post here, basically my yorkshire puppy who is about 10months old hasnt been himself today, he was fine in the morning but around the afternoon he started crying for no reason and just seem really dazed. I managed to calm him down but sometimes he is shaking and i thought it was because he was cold but that doesnt seem to be the problem He hasn't eaten since 5 and has only drunk a little bit, it just seems like he wants to curl up and sleep, ive tried feeding him all sorts of stuff and given him some milk but he hasnt touched any of it, the only time he seems to come alive is when our other dog walks past and he wags his tail and gets a little excited..does any one have any ideas of what i can do? | Have you called your vet? I would do that ASAP if you haven't! It could be a lot of things, but I wouldn't delay in calling and taking him in. Please let us know how he is!!

| hey we wont be able to until tomorrow since its not a 24hour vet and its pretty late here so they wont be open, he seems to be doing a little better now, he had some water and i was playing around with him a little earlier before he went back to bed. I know he had eaten some crumbs from a chocolate cake earlier (left the bowl on the couch) but it wasnt much at all so i hope that isnt why he is feeling like this Last edited by wizzymeg; 09-08-2010 at 01:57 PM. |

| He ate it around 3:30 (been around 7 hours now) and was completely fine after, running up and down and playing with my other dog, then he went for a nap and around 5 he just started crying, at first we thought he might of pulled a muscle since he had a bad habit of jumping up and down on the couch and since then he hasnt been himself. If he doesnt get better by tomorrow my dad will definitely take to to the vets, we were going to take him today but my dad got home from work to late so we couldnt Edit: He really didnt eat much cake at all, it was just a few crumbs and no icing or anything like that, i know it was stupid of me to leave the bowl on the couch and i have learnt my lesson Last edited by wizzymeg; 09-08-2010 at 02:23 PM. |

| Last time this happened, w/one of my pups, it was a back strain...I had some metacam, on hand...It's an anti-inflammatory, and I gave it to her on Saturday afternoon, and Sunday afternoon, and she was fine by Monday, and didn't have to take her to the vet...Now I'm not saying this is what is wrong w/your pup, and I would take her to the vet, asap...But, for me, it was the weekend, and this just happened to work for me...Hope she's all better soon! |
