| Missed as in totally missed; skipped a month or late a few days? Dependent on the hearworm meds you are using you have a 15 day grace period. In other words it says monthly....but, it's actually 45 days. The only one that I know of that you can't do this with is Revolution, it has to be 30 days right on the nose.

Yorkie Yakker | its heartguard. its been about a month.. i feel horrible. i was going to buy more tomorrow at vets but im wondering if i should get him tested. hes been fine but then im not really sure what to look for. should i be worried? |

| It's too early to show up on a test (at least teh Ag test, I think). Takes six months to go to the heart, so I'd start to be a bit concerned (and probably test) in about 5 months. Talk to the vet...

| ETA: Heartgard kills the tissue stage of larvae. Not sure when that is in the cycle. Best to ask the vet...

| The growth period takes 6 months. You are actually administering the med to attack the previous month, that is why it is crucial to stay on schedule.
