YT Addict | UGH! Hazel has a RASH =[ (picture) so i was playing with her today... and i usually give her kisses on her belly. when i went to do that... i saw it. i did google some stuff and from what i see it looks like it can be Folliculitis or Impetigo. it actually looks more like impetigo but i don't see everything they describe with that. HELP ME!!!! on a better note: she does go to the vet on friday. THANK GOODNESS! but i know i'll be freaking out until then. i also saw that it could be a allergic reaction to something... like to grass, or something i'm feeding her. i know its' nothing fatal, but i want my princess in perfect health =[ i took the best picture that i could. its actually in two places if you can see it. inbetween/under her two nipples and then another blotch at the bottom. she doesn't seem to be scratching at it that i've noticed, but i will pay attention to see if that changes. |

| It looks like it could be a staph infection to me. Staph is triggered by allergies. Staph Dermatitis and Hypersensitivity ~ Pawprints and Purrs, Inc. I wouldn't wait until Friday to bring her to the vet. It could really spread by then and be much more difficult to get rid of. Can you move your appointment up? |

| I agree... I wouldn't wait until Friday to take her in. Can you see if she can get in any earlier?

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | It looks like either a staph or a localized yeast infection to me. I agree she should probably get checked out prior to friday.

| That doesn't look like a rash to me. It looks like an open wound, has she been licking it alot? I agree with the others, to the vet, to the vet!!

| my dog had a brown rash one time and i thought it was fungus infection; so i used the Mal-A-Ket Wipes by DermaPet (50 ct) which is an antifungal; and the rash went away. check with the vet.

YT Addict | hi guys!!! sorry it took so long for me to get back and let you know what happened. Fortunately i didn't have to take Hazel to the vet. We have a family friend who is a vet so i just sent the pictures to her to ask what it was. you guys were right. she told me to use hydrogen peroxide to see if it clears up, and since then, it HAS. it looks so much better. she did tell be if it didn't start clearing up that i would indeed have to take Hazel to the vet but we look good so far =] Hazel fine. NO ACCIDENTS LATELY ALL PUPPY PADS! she also said that her rash coulda been triggered from peanut butter i was given her [i stopped the day i discovered the rash] or by her running around in the grass. she hasn't been outside since either. |
