Hmm.. I have to clean Poppy's eyes of sleep most mornings but its usually a cloudy white colour or clear, never green.
Maybe she has an eye infection? If it happens again I would consult your vet.

Green discharge is a sign of infection. It's probably conjunctivitis. She needs to be seen by a vet who will prescribe antibiotic cream or drops.

I've always been told that green means infection. I agree that you should consult your vet.
