YT 1000 Club Member | Natural Flea Treatment needed Hi, A month ago KiKi had a rash on her chest...which my groomer gave me some special shampoo to use and this cleared up the rash. I found a flea on my Yorkie last night and I have noticed that she has been very itchy lately, but does not seen to have any "hot spots"...she is just generally itching a lot... KiKi will be 3yrs old in November and weighs 3 lbs...I can not use the flea treatments like Frontline etc. on her because she has a bad reaction to these chemical treatments. I am looking for a "natural" treatment for fleas and for dry / irritated / itchy skin. Any tried and successful suggestions would be greatly appreciated :-) Thank you.

| this was on another post just reposting here for you Natural, Homemade flea spray My mom gave me a new book on "going green" topics. One of the things they mentioned in there was an all natural flea spray. According to the author, peppermint and cederwood oils help repel fleas. They recommend using a peppermint liquid castile soap for bathing and then using the following spray on them: 4 oz distilled water 10 drops peppermint essential oil 10 drops cedarwood essential oil -Mix the ingredients together and store in a dark glass spray bottle. They also recommend making a natural flea collar by using a natural hemp or cotton covered collar- putting 5 drops of peppermint, 5 drops of cedarwood oil in your hand and rubbing into the collar, repeating every 2 weeks. Any thoughts? Opinions? Caveats?
