Always be sure to wash all fruits and veggies ( especially apples ) as they have pesticides and apples are the worst, before you cut them. Cutting them without washing first allows the toxins to get into the foods. And FYI, the apple works for both constipation and diarrhea as it has pectin, so no worries about giving too much. Also you should never give puppies or kittens cows milk.

Yes, just regular ol' string green beans...I steam them, and leave them lightly crisp, as I like them, like that, and I figure the pups do too... The OP said you can't give too much apple, but I've found my little girl Apple, can't eat too much apple, or she gets loose stools...I guess each pup is different...I would, definitely, change store bought treats for fruits and veges...Soooooo much better for your babies, and I really think they like them better I give my babies 5 blueberries every morning, when I have mine...Just google other fruits and veges, before giving them, or stick w/blueberries, apples and green beans...

For the green bean, I buy the frozen type and when the pups want a treat, I take 1 or 2 out and cut them in to smaller pieces. They are still slightly frozen, but not so hard that it's difficult to chew.

Mine love green beans and when I first started giving them as treats I didn't know any better - I'd give them several pieces about 1" long. Oh man what a mess! Only give a couple at the most...you don't want to give too many.
