| ![]() Hi everyone, My little Sophia is 8 months old now and im just not sure if i should spay her now or if i should wait.....maybe i should mention she has 1 pair of double teeth on the bottom. So my vet said he would pull them when he spayed her. So in that case should i do it now rather then later or is it healthier to wait it out??? im so confused!!! My other yorkie passed away at 14 1/2 and 14 years ago the thing was to do it before the turned 1 now im hearing different things.....thank you so so much for reading all of this:confused |

| ![]() I plan to spay asap. I want to wait until around 6 months, though, but definitely before she comes into heat. I also plan to have any retained baby teeth removed at the same time. |

| ![]() Rosie was 7 months old when she had surgery. I think it was a good time for her.

| ![]() I spayed my dog Daisy at about 4 months old, and that was a little early. I would not wait. Dogs who are spayed before their first heat will pretty much avoid breast/mammary cancer so that is a major advantage to spaying.
