| Give her a bath with Dawn dish soap, the original unconcentrated kind. Works wonders. |

| Fleas and Tea Tree oil Hi My 2 silkies and yorkie get a spay whenever it is flea time of 10 drops mixed with water, and it seems to work for me and them. I am not sure of the exact amount but a spray bottle of normal size and put the drops in and lightly spray their bodies and keep out of eyes, the fleas don't like it and it has never hurt my dogs yet Good luck. I get the oil from health store. |

| I don't use chemicals (or pills) on my dogs and we've never had fleas...ever. But, this is what worked with the little stray we recently took in... Bathing in Dawn or (original) Palmolive dish soap will kill the fleas she has on her now and probably any flea eggs too. Using Apple Cider Vinegar in her drinking water will help keep new ones from getting on her. I use 1 tablespoon to one gallon of water. I use a drinking glass to fill their water bowl and I put about 1/4th of a teaspoon in a glass of water and fill their bowl once a day. It also helps keep their teeth clean. |

| You have an infestation in your house. You have to get rid of the eggs and larvae in your carpet or they will continue to hatch and you will never be flea free. Petsmart carries Adams Carpet powder. It's the only one I have found that works. You have to work it into your carpet with a broom, then vacuum it up. I let it sit overnight and keep pets off it. | It so frustrating! But clean clean clean!! and also study the cycle of fleas because the visible fleas are only the 5% of the cycle so yoyu might kill the flea but no eggs or larvae. So you gotta buy sprays and if you can powders! Spray couches, yorkie's bed, every place he/she normally sits. The powders work great! wash any cloth and stuff because they love to live in warm areas, clothes, and they they will hatch in a couple of weeks and you will have fleas again! and the cycle starts all over again. |

| My vet's office tells me that "Over and Out", a product for fire ants, works for fleas in the yard. Pets and kids can go on grass after treatment. Dog, bedding, house and yard will all need to be treated with whatever is appropriate for each item...........earlier post was right........it's an infestation. They're really bad this year, even after winter's freezes! You are NOT alone...........phooey! |

| You can treat your yard with Diatomaceous earth but make sure its food grade not filter grade, you can also try brewers yeast. |

| The fleas are horrible this year, for sure!!! We used Sevin 5% dust in our yard. We have an outside dog that stays in a pen. The fleas got so bad in there that we had to take the dog out and completely saturate the area with the sevin dust. The next day my husband walked in to the pen and not the first flea jumped on him. I have used the dawn as other people have mentioned but a yorkie friend of mine who lives near me suggested Suave Strawberry shampoo. It works, too! Be persistent, diligent and don't give up!!!

| Supposedly brewer's yeast mixed in with food can repel fleas. I've never tried it though. I am not a fan of overmedicating but I don't want fleas so I use Zodiac Flea and Tick Sprays - Flea & Tick - Cat - PetSmart this spray which works really well at killing the fleas on the dog and repelling them from coming back! I mostly spray it on her feet and underside since that's where I seem to find most of the fleas, and I'm pretty sure she picks them up from walking through grass. |
