Testicle appearance after neutering???? Hi All, My puppy Bronx was neutered on friday but I am confused!! We can still see his little testicles, in fact they look EXACTLY like they did before he went for surgery. Is this normal? I thought they took them out during the surgery and there wouldn't be any sign of his testicles. I am so worried that they didn't do the surgery. We had him neutered at the SPCA, and I just don't want him to go through another surgery, the poor little thing has already been through enough! Please help! Worried mommy..

Thank you for your responses, I feel a little silly that I didn't know this, but I also feel relieved!

Don't feel silly. I had a similar "whaaaat are those?" moment when my boy's little round glands popped up shortly after he was neutered. They are higher than the scrotum, closer to the base of the penis.

Now, almost a year later, the skin in that area has smoothed out and you can definitely tell he's neutered.

Cody was neutered in June and it took a couple of weeks for his testicles to recede. Hope your baby is doing alright. It was a challenge for me to keep Cody semi-quiet.

| Funny...I just noticed those bumps yesterday on Copper. He was neutered 2 months ago. I was thinking the same thing as the OP. Glad to have that cleared up! LOL YorkieTalk is the best!
