| Kasha was just spayed on Friday so I was in quite the tizzy Thursday. All of these things are fresh in my mind. - At my vet bloodwork was an option ... we did it and everything came back ok. - She had 8 teeth pulled(she had both sets) and they called us to give the thumbs up after an hour and a half. - They kept her overnight( my vet is an animal hospital so they have 24/7 care) and after visiting I was glad ... she was pretty out of it, shaking & whimpering but otherwise OK. - She had the glue vs the stitches & I chose to get a baby onesie vs the cone. So far it's working out well b/c she can be normal but no danger to her booboo. - w/in 24 hours she was back to her old self ... a little easily tired but otherwise no pain or anything! - we are continuing to give her pain meds thru weds & then I will see if I can stop them. Don't want a doggy drug addict. Overall, I think I stressed myself out a lot more than I should have. Our little pups are strong willed terriers at heart! I'm amazed at how well Kasha has done! I'm sure Sophie will do awesome & then by this time Weds you can breathe a sigh of relief! Good luck and good wishes to you both!!!

| Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I just got back from dropping Sophie at the vets office. He was already there and I was able to talk to him, he said they would give her something to help with her anxiety while waiting for her procedure.I took her blanket and her stuff animal to keep her company , the receptionist couldn't tell me when they would start on her, but told me I could call as many times as I wanted to (I already did !)As soon as I hear from them I will let you all know, for now Im going to get some pee pads at Walmart, it may be easier for her instead of walking to the back yard, at least for the first day or so. Should I get baby food for her, or something soft, or is it ok to let her without eating if she doesn't feel like it?

| Sophie will probably not feel like eating. If you feed kibble, maybe just add some water to soften or chicken broth to entice her. ![]() She will be out of it probably for tonight so I would probably have some nutrical on hand. We're sending our prayers for ya! She'll be home before you know it.

| She will be fine!!! Hannah was out of it when she came home, basically slept the whole night, but the next day it was like nothing ever happened! She didnt need pain meds or anything, she was ready to go the next morning. I think it bugged me more to leave her somewhere for a whole day more then the surgery did her. |

| Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I called again,I was "informed" that DH has been calling every 30- 45 min. since this morning,... he was the one telling me not to worry, and not to drive the receptionist crazy calling every 5 min.I guess he meant that literally, and since he was calling every 30-45 min, that didn't count .At 3.00 she was in surgery, so Im going to start heading over to beat the rush hr.I will post again once I get back.Thank you all for your prayers and messages!

| Donating YT 1000 Club Member | As I was pulling in the parking lot I received the call to go pick her up, amazingly she was awake, groggy, but with open eyes. She had internal sutures and glue on the outside .She was prescribed Metacam, 8 drops once a day for 4 days. The tech. said she needs to go back in 10 days and the lab work was fine...after I had left I remember i did not get a copy of the blood work result, to my surprise, there are a few values way off and I need your advise, can somebody take a look at them and let me know?

| glad she did fine thru the spay. I am sure that someone can give you some insight on the bloodwork. I know Ellie May knows quite a bit about numbers.

| I'm so glad to hear she came through fine. The whole thing is very anxiety producing, isn't it? Lucy wasn't herself for a few days; fairly lethargic and tired . . . but after 3-4 days was back to her old self and we had to keep her from running and jumping.

| Donating YT 1000 Club Member | She was on her bed in the living room, once she heard DH's truck she got up and waited by the door, then walked to the back door with the ball in her mouth to go play like they do every afternoon when he gets home, we didn't go out to play, but she has walked to my bedroom a few times, already pooped, and peed twice. I had done some boiled chicken breast for her but she wouldn't have any, as soon as DH sat down to eat, he offered her some chicken and she had maybe like a tablespoon or a bit more and drank some water. She just has water again and peed. She seems alert and I don't think she is in pain, but I'll give her meds before going to sleep, just in case. The Kiss E Collar from Mom to Hot Rod is super soft and comfortable, I folded enough that she is comfy but can't get to her incision.
