| Separation Anxiety Hey, i've been thinking about this for a while now and i really want to get a yorkie. I've done all the research and am willing to do all the grooming and walking etc. The only thing worrying me is that he -yes i would like a boy- would be alone while i'm at school; from 7:30-4:30 because of travel. Would he be okay? It's just my mum and me and she has to work. We have a family friend who could maybe check up on him at lunch time to see how he's doing but is that enough? Any advice would be great, thanks! P.S. I want to name him Sir Fredrick, Freddie for short. Cute? Or not? |

| Can I tell you from my personal experiences, I was off work for 3 weeks when I got him and training him to be alone an hour a day and increasing it every few days in a 4 by 4 pen. I couldn't wait to get home, because I didn't like leaving him and constantly worried, he'd cry a little when I would go. Then it was on to removing the play pen, then pea pads. But he's fine, loads and loads of toys, little bed areas in a couple of spots, lots of food and lots of water. He is alone, he is fine doesn't go to the bathroom in the house and he gets lots of love, big walks and visits to the dog park when I get home. |

| They do get used to it as long as you get their exercise and play time in there each day after work.... You could also look into a doggy day care or if that's too much have a neghbor kid come and walk your pup once in the afternoon to break up the day? Good luck!
