				 | Blueberries Are blueberries ok as an occasional snack(like 1 or 2 blueberries once or twice a week) My two only get veggies for treats and snacks and I would like to give them something to change it up once in a while. Blueberries are not on the bad/toxic food list, but I want to be sure before I try them. They are in abundance in my area now and are a very good deal. I was going to buy up several pints and freeze them as we love them ourselves.

				 | I've given Kaji raspberries and strawberries, he likes them! I have yet to try blueberries. I don't see why not, unless someone knows something I don't.

				 | blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and all are excellent for the pupsters. Mine get these berries almost daily. I even put berries in a gluten free whole grain puff cereal with a little goat milk for their breakfast or for lunch. They also get bananas, apples, pineapple, peaches and more. I home cook, so they only get real food.

				 | I wish my girl liked berries and fruits. She won't touch them or veggies either for that matter! I really don't know whats wrong with her since most Yorkies like berries, fruits and veggies???!!

				 | If you read the label on some of the dry dog foods blueberries are sometimes listed as an ingredient. They are fine for them but as with anything not too many. |

				 | My pups get two blueberries a day and love them. When I say, "Who wants a blueberry,?" they come running.

				 | Do you cut them to avoid choking? I would be nervous to give them whole.

				 | I gave them two each yesterday evening and Bogie gobbled his down. Jada was funny with hers she took it out of my hand then spit it out, tried to hide it under a pillow on the couch. I got it out from under the pillow and she grabbed it away from me. She let it sit in her mouth and got the middle out then spit out the peel. Then she got it and ate it. The second one I gave her she gobbled it down.

I can't wait to let Rhett try them, he already loves green beans, carrots and banana. Little guy eats better than I do most days. | |
