| Question about "odor" in females. Sadie is spayed, but we have since brought in a male to our home. Do some females have a "feminine odor" in their regions that smells very similar to the type of odor that a human female might produce? I smelled it today and it smells like a young woman would smell if she were not keeping herself fresh and clean in a certain area and it was coming from Sadie's bottom area. Anyone have this experience and know anything about it? |

| Ive never noticed that kind of odor with my Jewels. I do know an odor can be a sign of infection also

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I would check her anal glands as they can emit some very odd odors - very strong, strange, almost fishy at times. Yeast on a dog is usually more like a musty/damp smell (kinda hard to describe).

Donating YT 10K Club Member | She shouldn't smell...so something's definitely going on.

| okay i gave her a bath and the smell in gone. i started to smell around and it seemed to come from her nape and NOT her bottom area. after the bath i'm going to give it tonight and if the smell doesn't come back i'm going to chalk it up to her rolling into something outside. |
