Donating YT 11K Club Member | Livie making a weird sound Livie does this weird noise from time to time. Like just now she was sitting on me and she kinda made like a hiccup-y sound and her body did a little jerk at the same time like if it's coming from inside. It wasn't a hiccup though, I know what a hiccup sounds like. It's a little more deeper, coming from the throat or chest area I can't really tell but she does it occasionally, not all the time. Is this normal? Any idea what it could be?

| Precious does this when she's sleeping. I think she's just having puppy nightmares

| sounds like it could be reverse sneezing. Totally normal in some breeds. My shih tzu also does this , sometimes.

| I was also thinking of reverse sneezing. Ours will do one or she will do a couple in a row. I thought she was choking the first time she did it. Now I know what it is. I just rub under her neck. Don't know if that helps but it seems to calm her down. I think it scares her. |

| pharyngeal gag reflex Yorkies are known to have Pharyngeal gag reflex (don't think the spelling is correct). Sounds like they are snorting or something. Razor does that when she gets excited or barking like mad. Worried me when I first heard it so I looked it up and found info on the animal planet |

Donating YT 11K Club Member | It's not like a snort, it's like a hiccup and her chests also pops when she does it
