| Shedding Ok from my understanding of the breed they shouldn't shed and if so not much. So my question is do they loose puppy hair or something of the like? Moto is currently in his 18th week. and by all accounts happy and healthy. But for the last week every time I cuddle with him he leaves fluff behind. What I mean by fluff is short wiffie hair. Mostly black. He gets brushed daily with a soft bore bristle brush that also usually has some fluff on it. His coat looks to me to be thick and shiny. I see no bald or balding spots. So I am assuming its loss of puppy fur, but, I haven't herd of anyone talkin about if or when this happens. Any insite or has anyone delt with this, is it so common that I look stupid for asking? lol Sara |

| They shed loose some strands of hair like humans when you brush it.

| I'm having the same problem with my puppy. He will be 18 weeks this Friday and I've notice a lot of hair is falling out. I brush him at least twice a day and spray him before doing so. His lower back has about 3 or 4 very small areas where you can see the hair has fallen out. Otherwise his coat is soft and shinny so I'm also quite curious as to why this is happening.

| Any animal with hair sheds, including people. Yorkshire Terriers have individual roots or 'hairs' similar to that of humans, they don't shed like a cat or a dog with an undercoat of fur. However I notice my little girl's hair on practically everything. The couch, the carpet, my bed.. I even get her 'hairs' in my eyes from time to time. I purchased a pet hair vacuum, and I use an air purifier. I also clean obsessively so it's never been a problem. |
