| What kind of Blue Buffalo? Ok, so as you all know by now..lol..I am still looking at different dog foods. Blue Buffalo appears to be a decent food, but there are different formulas to choose from, what formula do you guys think is best? I saw a chicken and oatmeal formula, a fish formula, etc? Also if you feed this, do your dogs seem to enjoy the food? Thanks for your help! |

| The BB Wilderness version is the one with the high ratings. I feed this to my Westie and he loves it. It's too much protein for my Lucy, though, who has mild MVD. |

| Mine all eat the chicken. It was recommended for small dogs and all 4 of mine eat it now. (One of them is a shih tzu.) Gracie had really bad breath and Meagansmom asked if it could be what she was eating and sure enough it was the food that used fish! Last edited by Lou; 05-05-2010 at 07:07 AM. |

| I use the Blue Buffalo Wilderness versions with Sasha because she does better on a grain-free diet. With the regular BB, I know they make a small breed version that comes in either Chicken & Brown Rice or Fish & Brown Rice. I'd say that as long as your dog doesn't have an allergy to chicken then I'd go with that formula. You could probably even switch back & forth between flavors if you wanted to to give them variety. |

| One more question...I PROMISE..lol..I know I am probably annoying everyone with the food questions, but I promise I will make up my mind soon. What about Halo Spots Stew? I saw it in the pet store right next to the Blue Buffalo? SO I was just curious as to how this food was? Thanks a million! |

| The only bad thing I've heard about Blue Buffalo is dogs not liking/not eating the 'life source bits' that are in the food. Other than that, I think it's a pretty good food. I prefer the Wilderness line which now has a new flavor I think and recently was made completely grain-free.

| My girls eat Blue Buffalo White Fish and Sweet Potato. Life source bits.... It took Piccolo about a year to eat those pieces.... She would just set them to the side outside her bowl. Kind of funny. (But now she eats all of the kibble.)

LOL! Gracie and Adie did that too but Skeeter and Cassie cleaned them up. Now they all eat everything just fine. It just took a couple of months. | |

| My Bulldog was on Blue Buffalo, but we ended up going with Taste of the Wild Wetlands. My bulldog liked it more, it had higher ratings (6 star), and was grain free as well. It is also alot less pricey and easier to find. |

| I buy mine the fish and sweet potato formula. They love the taste of it the best and for some reason the kibble is smaller than the chicken and rice. I did have them on the chicken and rice but I noticed they were chewing their feet so they must have an allergy towards chicken. They do great on the fish and potato one though. Oh and I personally would never put them on the Wilderness formula. The protein is way too high. Taste of the Wild sounds seems like a good brand but if I remember correctly, they use ethoxyquin in their food. Blue Buffalo does not which is why I went with them.
