| Giving Milk to Your Yorkie I always thought it was a "no no" to give a dog milk. My feeling is that it is bad for their digestive systems. Maybe some dogs can handle it. I was talking to a friend today, and she gives her Poodle 1/3 cup of 2% milk a day. Do you give your Yorkie milk? Thanks everyone.

| My Yorkies wait by my mom when she is eating cereal and she gives them the left over milk in the bowl. They love it and have never had an issue with it? |

| Absolutely, and I'll quote Breny, as she informed me but, I did further research. It can cause Scours. The only type of milk to give pups is Goats Milk, it's the closets thing to mother's milk.

| I give Cerise Goat milk, goat yogurt, goat cheese (tiny piece) and not all on the same day note... some lowfat cottage cheese from cow's milk seems okay (a teaspoon or less I think) Cow's milk

Senior Yorkie Talker | In my opinion I think if in moderation it is fine, on a daily basis no. I give Reese milk and its like a treat to her, on just enough to cover the bottom of the bowl, she loves it, and has had no problems.

Evaporated milk is fine, it's in my whelping pudding recipe, but it is diluted and only given at a tablespoon at a time.
