| It depends on the male...can be really early...I've had a boy with both testicals able to be felt by 8 weeks or so BUT it can be as late as a year.

| My vet told me that the testicles should start descending right after they are born. If they are over 4 months old and you don't see them then they have undescended testicles and the vet will have to neuter the boy like a spay. My male chihuahua has undescended testicles and we waited until he was over a year to fix him but they never came down. They just made 2 little 1/4" incisions on both sides and just took them out. It wasn't that big of deal and the procedure only cost a little more than a normal neuter. I was told that the testicles have more of a chance of getting a cancerous tumor if you leave them undescended. Good Luck!!

| Depends on the dog. Most drop pretty early, but it could be much longer. I have a male that I'd actually scheduled for neuter...then 2 weeks before, one of his 'little marbles' showed up. He was a week short of a year old. So I postponed the neuter to wait for the second. Gave up, rescheduled and sure enough, a week before, the second 'little marble' showed up. He was 16 months old when the second one dropped. I've heard that it sometimes takes longer with smaller males...not sure if there is any truth to that. Mine is 3 pounds, soaking wet, so it made seems to fit in his particular case. |

| No bashing....please....this is not me nor do I have any contact with this person. But my SIL has a "friend" that has horrific practices with her MILL dogs...She says that she ..... this is bad -- or at least to me it is bad--pushes on the belly button after they are 8 weeks...and then uses index and middle finger and PULLES the testes down.... Please tell me that nobody has ever heard of this..... |

| CoCo My Yorkie is 7 months old and there is no sign of testicals! I'am assuming he has undescended testicals & he will need surgery...does that sound right?? |
