My vet told me that the testicles should start descending right after they are born. If they are over 4 months old and you don't see them then they have undescended testicles and the vet will have to neuter the boy like a spay. My male chihuahua has undescended testicles and we waited until he was over a year to fix him but they never came down. They just made 2 little 1/4" incisions on both sides and just took them out. It wasn't that big of deal and the procedure only cost a little more than a normal neuter. I was told that the testicles have more of a chance of getting a cancerous tumor if you leave them undescended. Good Luck!!
