| Bad breath Hello, I am new to this site. I have a 20 week old yorkie who has terrible breath. Does anyone have any suggestions? Also, Bella is constantly licking herself and we have searched for fleas, given her oatmeal baths etc and she won't stop. I don't think it is allergies as I believe it would be all over her body. Bella just sits and licks her legs and now I have noticed that she is losing hair in those spots. Help!! |

| Hello and Welcome to YT! I would say the bad breath goes right along with teething. My girl, Twinkie, had the same problem and the vet said it is normal. As for the scratching, it could still be an allergy. Some yorkies are allergic to their food, so you might want to ask your vet. I hope that helped... |

Bear had a VERY bad breath around 6 month of age, and I noticed a couple of new teeth coming out, close to his baby teeth, so I think that the food got stuck between the teeth and that caused his bad breath. At the time he was nutered , they pulled out his baby teeth and the bad breath disapeared instantly. | |
