| Teddi was spayed at about 6 months but I wish I had waited until about 9 months because then at 9 months she had to go under to get a bunch of retained baby teeth removed....had I waited I could have gotten it all done at the same time. I would wait until you know if you dog is going to need teeth pulled too.

| Jamie got spayed at exactly 6 months but she was 6.5 pounds at the time. She had two baby teeth pulled. She was able to come home with us that night since I had a long standing relationship with our vet due to my previous yorkie who had a ton of issues as she aged. She was like her old self in 2 days with no issues. |

| Pixie is 7 months and she is getting spayed april 8 and by then she will be 7 1/2 months by then. The vet wanted to wait and see if any baby teeth came out and she has remaining teeth being remove as well. I am dreading that day. Pixie now weighs 5.5 lbs

| Donating YT 500 Club Member | I wanted to do it at 6 mo, but vet convinced me to wait till she was 7 mo to improve chances of permanent teeth being in. She only had two baby teeth that needed to be pulled at the time. She came through her surgery just fine... and was a lot too fine by the following day. Yeah... keep her quiet the vet said!
