| Uni's back looks hunched What's wrong with her topline (is that what it's called?) It's so hunched looking, her tail is hardly up anymore, I think she's getting irritated by Katie always stealing her stuff. She's been cooped up at home with bf for the last few days, so I brought her with me to the shop today. She has been in a crazy humping fit since we started taking care of Katie, something she usually only does while she is in heat. While she does it, her back is arched like this. I remember her back to always have been straight and flat. What's wrong with her. She doesn't seem to be bothered by it, when I pet her she doesn't flinch or move away, but I'm just concerned. btw please don't mind her unkempt hair. I took the pics this morning before I brushed her.

| Has she seen the vet lately? She does look a little bowed. Maybe someone will tune in that knows something about it. I pray that she's okay.

| I don't have an answer for you, but my baby was just diagnosed with hip dysplasia today and this was one of the things I noticed that first caught my attention mine too. Her back is haunched up ever so slightly. I suspect it brings her (mine) a bit of comfort or takes some weight (she only weighs 6 lbs) off her hips especially after playing hard. I hope your baby doesn't have anything like this, but maybe something to put in the back of your mind if she doesn't stop carrying herself like that. And, I like her hair!

| Poor Uni! Kaji looks like that when he's really upset and his tail is tucked under his little behind as tight as it possibly can. Is Uni sulking around like she's upset or is it just the hunched back?

| does she only do this when Katie is around? I read on yahoo that it could be a dominence thing, I just also read a tummy problem. Dogs sometimes hunch when they don't feel well. I would see if she does it when katie is not there. If she does still do it then I would have her checked out at the vets and see what they say. Is your vet good with calling for advice? You could always call and just tell them the situation and see what they think.

| Well, just now I had some girls come in the shop and they were oohing and ahhing over Uni, that seemed to make her happy. Now her tail is up and she's digging in a sweater. Thought I's try to make her eat while she's in a good mood, but still wouldn't eat. Katie is the more dominant one. She takes all of Uni's stuff without a second thought. Uni will try to get it back, but always backs down. I would think that the newcomer would be a bit apprehensive about their new surroundings and kind of not make themselves too much at home but Katie settled right in and made her self very comfortable. I was thinking maybe Uni started humping her bed again to show dominance towards the one thing she can? I even caught katie laying in the humping bed once too. that bed is not for sleeping!

| Aw, I really have no answers for you... but I just wanted to wish you and Uni well. I have seen dogs do this when their tummy is hurting, but that's about all I know. I'm sure she will be just fine... maybe she's just a bit upset about Katie! Wishing you guys the best.

| Poor Uni! Does she walk around with her back hunched all day, or does it come and go? Is she pooping normally? |
