| Important Question.. My mom is flying into town and she is sick and I am hoping she will be ok before he comes but if not I was wondering if the pup can catch what she has? Is that possible? |

| I personally have never heard of a dog catching a human illness.

| You are referring to zoonosis, the ability to cross infect, animal to human or human to animal. If you scroll down the page a bit, you will come to a partial list of zoonoses (diseases that fit this particular bill): Zoonosis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I'm sorry your mother is sick ... more than likely, what she has is not transmittable to your pup, although it may be to YOU. |

It's one thing to run out to the store or something necessary if you're ill - but to sit hours on a plane in such tight quarters isn't fair to all the passengers on the plane - the airport - even you too. (I had the flu from hell last December for 3 weeks) which is why your post struck me, Why not have her postpone her trip ?

Unless it's absolutely necessary your Mom to travel now, she should postpone her trip out of concern for other people.
