| Hair changing color in one spot? I noticed Bailey's hair on top of his back where it parts it is getting lighter in one area, but it still seems to be remaining darker everywhere else on his back. Does anyone know why? Will the color eventually lighten up all over?

| I had to look to see how old he was 'cause I couldn't remember. It seems like at a year old that is late to start changing color, but I guess you're never too old! Otherwise, I don't know.

| he could be changing color...Joey was over a year old when his back started having one or two silver hairs...now there are more, and he's almost 2...I've heard that they can be a few years old before their "final" color has been achieved.

YT Addict | Derby's top of his head started changing white/light tan months ago, and when it started I thought he was going bald. His back has been changing more and more since in the last 2-3 months. It's a mix between silver and black. I can't wait for him to change completely, which I hope he does! He's almost 9 months now. I keep thinking he's a mix, but do Yorkie mixes still change the color of their coat?? There's so much Yorkie about him, who knows.

| There is a good chance his whole back will change color. Some don't start changing until a couple years old. Scampers didn't start changing color until he was 3 years old.

| Miss Apple Pudiny Pie has had me bumfuddled w/her hair colors...She started out black and tan, of course, then turned the steel blue, which I thought was it...THEN, she started turning really golden blonde, all over, and I thought I was going to have a blonde yorkie (like me ), but now there is a consistent strip all the way down her back that is the dark steel blue grey (?)...There's about 1/2 " of length in this steel blue grey color...That girl just can't stay out of the dye bottles lol...Apple is 1 year 5 months and 1 week old... |

| I read somewhere that different coat textures change at different rates. Some don't acheive full color until 3 years! Kimbo is 11 months old and his back has very recently started to change colors.
