| Is there such thing as to much dog treats? I hear everyone say that we should give our babies treats for good behavior. Is there such thing as too much? Does this ruin there appetiate? Cody is only 10 weeks and I don't want to over feed him. Thanks Cody's mommy |

| Yes, you can give them too many treats which will decrease their appetite and lead to weight gain.... Moderation. Our Yorkie gets just a sliver of Iams Low Cal treats.....she is happy. To much of anything is bad, well with the exception of_____ |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Yes you can give too many treats. Many dog treats are practically meal size & yorkie tummies are very small. I give only healthy treats & tiny pieces. I like to get ones that I can easily break apart easily w/fingernails or easily chopped into tiny pieces. If you eat snack food all day long, do you feel like sitting down to a healthy meal? Same logic.

| I agree. Dog's love treats, but it doesn't take much of a treat to make them happy or reward them. I also look for treats that can be broken down into small bits. When I work with Ruger he doesn't seem to care if I give him a whole treat or just a fraction of it. |
