| My Yorkie's Teeth Issues... My Yorkie has always had bad teeth and a few years ago the vet wanted to put her to sleep to give her a good teeth cleaning. A few weeks after this several of her teeth fell out I asked the vet and he said that they would have pulled them during the cleaning if they seemed loose, but the cleaning may have caused those teeth with rotten roots to loosen and later fall out. She still eats her same food, but I watch her eat each time. Emmi has a very sensitive stomach so if eating ever becomes an issue I plan on just putting a small amount of water with her same food to just soften it. This way she does not get an upset stomach but is still able to eat with comfort. I'm lucky enough to know that Emmi only eats if I'm around. She always looks at me for approval to eat. I have to say "Good Girl Emmi, Eat your Breakfast." Then she'll eat. It's so cute. Just become something she's always done. She waits for those words. She then always has to be praised while eating. She'll get a bite then turn to look at you as she eats. She's so adorable and spoiled!! This does enable me to view her eating so I will know if it becomes an issue for her at any point.
