Hugo is a FLEA Magnet! So I must preface by saying that I honestly believed that Fleas only happened to dogs in the summer. Boy was I wrong when I took Hugo to his groomer and Lo and Behold he had FLEAS!!! So i was completely humiliated and embarased to say the least and I felt like such and irresponsible parent! So I buckled down and I bathed him with dog flea products to no avail. My vet recommended Frontline but I can not afford it yet (Just started my new job)I finally got some bio spot becasue I thought that since it said bio spot it was "healthier" and after revieing reviews on advantage and advantix I was mortified at the effect it had on smaller dogs and did not want to chance it with Hugo. Therefore fellow YT'ers any ideas on keeping fleas at bay and keeping hugo Flea FREE? Or other natural alternatives? I just applied the bio spot on Monday. No side effects on Hugo or his three brothers and sisters. Thanks a billion!!

Moses is a flea magnet also - he has had fleas all winter and I can't find a single one on my female. I will start him on Vectra next week, in fact will get flea medicine for all my animals next monday. But it never worked on him. I did start washing him in Dawn dish washing detergent, and rinsing with apple cider vinegar. It helped some, but I could never get rid of the fleas on him and still can't. And they like to congregate around his face! I am going to talk to the vet about a dreaded flea collar just to see if wearing one will keep them off his face.

Please, please don't use Biospot or any other flea products from the grocery store, Walmart, etc. They can cause serious reactions in dogs, even death. Just do a Google search. BioSpotVictims.org - Bio Spot Flea & Tick for Dogs - Adverse Reactions Spending the $$$$ on a safe flea product like Frontline or Advantage can save you a huge vet bill. Did you ask your vet to sell you one tube of Frontline? Some vets will do that. Entirely Pets has great prices on flea control products: 3 MONTH Frontline Top Spot Orange: For Dogs up to 22 lbs.

Fleas are really bad here in FL. so I use a pill called Comfortis. Once I started giving this to my Yorkie, I have never seen another flea.

I live in florida and fleas are bad all the year. I use frontline in a spray bottle,I get it online in 500ml for about $40. Its a lot cheaper than the individual packets. I use two squirts on the back of there necks about every 2 months and my husband treats the yard every summer when they get the worse.
