they only stink when they play outside on a wet muddy day and if mine does that i bathe her right away. i go for once every few weeks when she does start to smell funky in the winter time and more often in the summer (dry skin in winter)

i LOVE the way she smells even when at times she does start to smell a bit, i still love to snuggle her and breathe in her smell...it's like a newborn baby smell, you just like it...if you guys are weird for loving the smell, i'm joining the club

how do you properly clean your dog's face in the bath? My timmy's face is the source of his stink usually and hes very afraid in bath (hes a rescue) so its hard to get his face. also should i be doing something to protect his ears or eyes in the bath?

Someone here suggested using a spray bottle on the face. I do that to soap up, then use my hands to work on any gunk buildup. Go light on the soap so you don't have to rinse as thoroughly. Haven't found a great solution for rinsing. I just hold their head down to keep water from going up their nose and pour clean water over the top.

I've never done anything to protect their ears and haven't had any infections -- yet!

ill probably try that..im gonna give him a bath in the kitchen sink instead of tub so i think that'll help since i'll have a sprayer, and less room for him to be freaked out by..if it works ill be very happy lol
